Data protection consent

Please explain to the client that 1-2-1 Counselling takes very seriously the confidentiality of the service that we offer and the autonomy of the client in that process. We hold very little personal information about the client and keep very brief sessional notes that we keep in a secure filing cabinet. We do not share this information with anyone without the express permission of the client except in exceptional circumstances. We only use anonymized information for data collection purposes. The information we hold can be useful as it allows us to contact clients if need be (e.g. to arrange appointments) and helps to track the way that the counseling develops. The client has the right to ask to see this information and also to ask for it to be destroyed.
